Biodiesel for Hotels

Many prestigious hotels including The Hotel Marriot, the MGM and ARIA Resort and Casino continue to expand eco-friendly projects. Marriot International, for example, started a program to convert cooking oil from their kitchens into biodiesel and currently have 13 different locations doing just this: Hotels Ramp Up Recycling - Clean Fuel Efforts

Likewise, The Seaport Hotel in Boston is converting their cooking oil into Biodiesel locally and then running it in their fleets.

And a hotel chain in Jamaica is using one Springboard’s BioPro™ biodiesel processors to make biodiesel and run their fleet of vans on it.

These hotels are doing this because they know that biodiesel burns 78% cleaner than regular diesel, but they also know that if they make biodiesel themselves from a reclaimed waste stream like cooking oil, they can make that fuel at a cost of 90 cents/gallon in a BioPro™.
